Denine Nio is owner and Chief Executive Officer at Hula Media Services, LLC, a leading independent provider of post-production technology for television, streaming and feature films. Her company is also one of only a few female, majority owned companies in that area of the entertainment industry.
Denine began her career in the entertainment technology field in 1995 where she immersed herself in the world of non-linear editing. Denine built solid relationships with major networks, independent production companies, studios, editors and producers.
In 2000, Denine became the owner of Hula Post, expanding the editing system rentals and providing creative editorial space with multiple locations. Her technical expertise and solid foundation of relationships evolved Hula Post to be one of the top rental providers in Hollywood. Remarkably in a male dominated industry, she accomplished this in less than three years, under the age of 35 and a being a full time mom to four children. Later she further grew the company, now offering top-notch finishing services for audio and color correction.
Denine resides in Westlake Village, California. Her passion is helping the homeless in her community, volunteering her time and resources to put an end to the crisis. Additionally, she supports Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Denine lost many friends and relatives taken by cancer in her lifetime, therefore she is committed to serving on the board of Mucosal Melanoma Warriors to help further its mission.
